A week ago I was asked if I could come to a surprise wedding - the groom, Craig was keen to surprise everyone including the bride at a birthday party they had organised. So only about 20 people.
So we agreed the time and I gave instructions when he had sorted the marriage documents to send to me to print. I sorted a ceremony to send to Craig for his approval. I checked there would be rings to give. I got instructions on where to find them.
The instructions were good and I arrived to find that Craig had told Rebecca about an hour earlier that they were getting married. Apparently she had to ask 6 times if he was joking. They had talked about getting married and I asked when they were signing the marriage documents how long they had been together - the answer: Engaged for 12 years!
They had put ribbon on all the chairs and we went to get them married. We had three takes on the walk out. The last one to get a beautiful bouquet of flowers - yes Craig had thought of everything. What a diamond he is.
Simple ceremony - of course the kiss, sign the documents and congratulations. Done and dusted.
I of course suggested that take some photos and that required a relocation to the trees as the best backdrop and we took photos. I love leading people to take these photos because it is always good to capture the memories.
Have a long and happy life as Mr and Mrs Harris
PS: apologies the photos are not the best quality
