For Monit and Shimara it was two cultures coming together in a very special celebration of love. It was indeed uniting family and friends to celebrate together.
Monit and Shimara met at high school and have been together ever since. Yes for ten years and they see their marriage as a sincere commitment between two people who love each other.
So the Celebrant's greatest challenge - pronouncing names correctly. I really work hard to get the names right. Monti Kahomolasike Masiu - a beautiful name and broken down I got it!
They said to each other:
"Today as we begin the next chapter of our lives together, I look forward to this lifelong adventure with you, my best friend. I give you my respect and will love your from now until forever. You are the one I wish to grow old with, my hear belongs to you".
Unfortunately my photos don't do justice to the lovely wedding - my blogs deserve the professional photos but its not always easy to get them.
Venue: The Tea House, Riccarton Park Raceway.
Celebrant: Julie Lassen
The PS: Shimara the bride said "I will see you at my sister's wedding".
Here is hoping my nephew and her sister - a nice couple, continue to find happiness in being a couple.
