Thank you for all you have done for us both today and leading up to this day.
We appreciate the work you do and from what we have read so do many other people.
Keep up the good work and again thank you.
Rhys and Chris
This was the card I opened when I got home yesterday from marrying Rhys and Chris at my perfect location – The Sign of the Bellbird. I really love what I do and it’s nice that couples see it and can experience it.
It was a little cool at The Sign of the Bellbird yesterday but stunning views make up for any cool conditions. The coolness certainly wasn’t a problem as these two neat guys travelling from Australia, as they pledged to live together in marriage. You will notice in the photos that they were dressed casually and that is the beauty of elopement, there is no pressure to spend lots of money. There is no expectations; no right or wrong.
Rhys and Chris have been travelling around our lovely country and they are seriously considering coming here to live. They love it! They also shared that they love the way we treat gay people here in
New Zealand. We give them the rights their own country doesn’t. After our discussion yesterday, I was told that their friends are coming to marry here in New Zealand and my goal is to attract them to Christchurch. As they said they have loved their Christchurch and South Island experience. I want to tell you they didn't like Auckland, not sure that I should, but its important for people to know the South Island is where they really do get a warm reception. Yes its a bit colder but our welcome is very warm.
Congratulations Rhys and Chris it was my pleasure to be with you and I look forward to marrying your friends.
