I really enjoyed marrying Brendan and Tabitha. It was a lovely day at the Edmond's Factory Garden and the wedding party was so relaxed. The beautiful bride was dressed in lemon! White would not have been right for this bride.
I remember a great story they told me about a lavender plant!
I decided a few days ago to ask Tabitha and Brendan to share with you that story and what they think was the best part of their wedding day.....
My Father gave Brendan a 20 litre petrol can and in return Brendan gave him a lavender plant. Brendan really wanted to include this story in our ceremony and Julie did a wonderful job of making it part of our vows.
" We are now come to the time of the Giving away: I believe there has already been some exchange giving and receiving. I’m told that Tabitha’s Dad gave up a petrol can in return for a lavender plant from Brendan. I believe Tabitha’s Dad will today be giving her away to Brendan in marriage and expecting nothing in return." The photos of my Father at this part of the ceremony are fantastic and he is beaming with pride.
I asked Brendan what a memorable part of the day was for him and he said it was sharing a joke with Julie before the ceremony started. He can't remember what they were laughing about but it calmed his nerves until he saw me come up the aisle. He said once he'd seen me he was OK from there and I felt the same. My legs were shaking as I was walking and only settled once I'd taken his hands.
A lot of our friends and family told us how relaxed and enjoyable the day was and people still tell us now that our day is a great example of a fantastic wedding.
This is exactly what we wanted from our day as it reflects our relationship perfectly. It honestly fitted the cliche of being one of the greatest days of our lives and our love and friendship continues to grow daily.
Brendan and Tabitha now have a beautiful daughter to add to their enjoyment of life as husband and wife.
