Weddings on Family Farms are always special. The Earl family farm.
Aimee Robinson the Teacher was to marry Stuart Earl the Diesel Mechanic.
Aimee and I worked together via email as she was overseas only arriving back a week before the wedding.
We did the rehearsal in our driveway and that was fun.
We had a little bit of indecision days before the wedding because the best man, Scott had a bit of an accident. He was very lucky to be alive I am told. It was uncertain if he would make the wedding but an ambulance drove him out to Scargill and by the time I arrived, he was in his suit and in his bed ready.
Lots of people came in and said hello to Scott and the guests gathered. A big wedding as it should be when it’s on the family farm.
So many highlights in no particular order:
The beautiful photos with this blog come from the amazing Susannah Blatchford photography.
The ceremony was beautiful in spite of the wind.
Scott, the best man gave his delightful speech from is bed at the end of the ceremony (I never usually hear the Best Man’s speech).
Scotty the bed bound Bestman and Georgia were the two witnesses and signed the marriage documents.
I got to present Stuart and Aimee as Mr and Mrs Earl.
Caleb and Noah did a fine job of bringing in the rings and taking the photo opportunity moment.
Peter, a special man in Stuart and Aimee’s lives shared a lovely reading.
Aimee’s Auntie Liz sang “How Long will I love you” by Ellie Golding and it was beautiful.
Thanks Aimee and Stuart for letting me be the Celebrant on your special day.
May you have a long and happy life together as Mr and Mrs Earl and may everyone close to you get well and stay safe.
