We were at Cossars Wineshed at Tai Tapu and Martinus and Nicole were pronounced husband and wife. Cossar’s was looking lovely and the wedding among the vines very special.
A very hot day and there was sunscreen available for anyone who wanted and needed it.
I had been hoping and praying all week that Nicole’s laryngitis would have left her but alas no. So I read out this message: “Good afternoon, before we commence today’s ceremony, I would like to draw your attention to Nicole’s challenge today. As she is suffering from laryngitis she is going to be whispering her vows. So please listen carefully to what I say as that is what she will be whispering when she repeats after me.”
It was lovely of Tinus to have his Father – Carl share a verse from the Bible.
I pronounced them to be Mr and Mrs Huyser and was advised to think of calling out “hey Sir”.
Having them walk out together, I encouraged them to head into the shade for the congratulations.
A lovely wedding and for me extra special one. I had married Steven and Kerry, the Brides brother and his wife, 8 years earlier. They have been very busy with two lovely children.
