I know that when I am off to Langdale Vineyard for a wedding it’s going to be a great day!
I wrote this the other day and I was in fact there today for a lovely wedding. Lovely people and I
was the Celebrant today, because, they had seen me at another couples wedding earlier this year.
Back to my original blog.
My statatement was:
I know that when I am off to Langdale Vineyard for a wedding it’s going to be a great day!Why do I know that, I hear you asking?
Very simply I have done many weddings their over the years and I know that everyone is
happy and always gets great reviews.
Each wedding is of course individually planned to meet the needs and the budget of the couple.
I have done smaller weddings (that is 60’s) and very large weddings at Langdale (120ish). I am told they can comfortably seat up to 130.
Where is Langdale Vineyard? Yes that is a question often asked. It can be described as an attractive country venue with rose and lavender gardens nestled among vineyards on Langdales Road about 20 minutes from Christchurch. Yes you can take Old West Coast Road or the West Coast Road to get there. Providing a map is probably a good investment of time and energy to ensure guests arrive in time for the wedding. Many couples organise transport, especially those overseas couples.
Three walls of French doors open onto the garden with the Winery Hall adjacent to the Restaurant.
A lovely atmosphere with the wine barrel and the outdoor areas for the ceremony and photos.
I asked when the first vineyards were planted and that was back in 1989. 4.0 hectares of vineyards with the makeup being Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Riesling.
I really think photos tell you more – check out these ones!
