So I used the photo on one of my Facebook pages and in doing so gave a plug for Geoff and what he does. Yes a videographer.
When I look at Facebook, I am always stalking photographers and other people in the wedding industry with a view to sharing the lovely work that they do with a wide circle of people.
In the Canterbury Wedding Forum, I share anything that is new and of interest to those people getting married. I often ask questions on behalf of brides and others provide feedback and photos. Often I think I have the answers as being in the industry for 15 years gives me a depth of understanding and knowledge about what goes on. I try not to influence couples to much as I like them to have the day they dream of.
I have other pages in my series of Canterbury Forum pages so always am on the lookout for interesting things to share.
At a wedding the other day a lovely couple was telling me that next year they will be married for 40 years. I really don’t think they look old enough to have been married that length of time. Anyway, they said that when they married they had their parents wedding not their own wedding. What do I mean? When they married 40 years ago the parents paid for weddings and invited the people who were their friends and the young couple’s friends never got invited.
I like that times have changed. I believe couples these day might have financial contributions from parents or other parties but I believe most couples pay for the wedding themselves and hence they have control over the invitation list.
So where am I going with this blog? Not sure really, other than to say, I always acknowledge the business, I am sharing and hope they share my business, but that doesn’t happen very often.
Geoff "Bee Photo Bomb"! It happened on my wedding from the 31.01.2015."
