What does a personal trainer have to do with weddings? I hear you asking this question!
The answer: Well I did a six week course with Michael – "Look Better Naked”. He impressed me with his innovative and progressive outlook. Also, brides are all working on getting in shape for their big day! So lots to do with weddings!!
Michael does do one-on-one personal training sessions along with free public PT sessions on a Saturday morning in Hagley Park. As he was chef in a previous life, I see that he is now starting cooking classes. He sees a huge relationship between food and exercise.
An important part in doing all those things well is to have an ability to motivate people into action – and he does this very well.
I asked Michael to share with me a bit about his outlook – very interesting!
I bring a heavy nutritional edge to my Personal Training services, due to my background in hospitably
where I spent 14 years working as a professional chef. I’m a REP’s registered Personal Trainer and studied at New Zealand Institute of Sport in 2011.
You can expect professional services when you put your goals in my hands. I have an organised and structured method to my personal training which means you get to where you want quickly, safely and efficiently.
My nutrition background will help you stay on track with recipes, techniques and ideas for what to make and when to eat them. Exercise is only part of the equation to any fitness goal.
I used to be a very stressed, over-worked and unhealthy person and decided things had to change! That’s when I took the steps toward a career in personal training, and have never looked back. The first few weeks in changing the routine are the hardest but with my direction you too can get to where you need to be.
I offer a lot of support and guidance along the way and realise that each person is an individual so therefore, I work alongside you to help you get to your goal.
My Postscript: One day I hope to be the Celebrant for Michael when he decides to marry - you can tell I am a goal-setter!
