I had a mild panic the night before the wedding, as I was checking everything was ready. I had noted down that Peter was going to courier the marriage documents to my home. As it was Friday night and I din't have them, I sent a text in a non-stressful manner. How can you do that in a non-stressful manner? I simply stated, I presumed he would be bringing the papers to the wedding in the morning.
I heard back yes he was bringing the documents.
So I arrived early and helped a guest get into the carpark.
Everyone turned up and I was told the marriage documents had come with the wedding party. I was told that Annette had said to Peter have you got the marriage documents and he had pretended he didn't. The joke was on him as they all got out of the taxi and the documents were left on the back seat. A guest told me he saw Peter chasing after the taxi and when that didn't work - using his cellphone.
When he came in he handed me the documents and we got them married.
Very lovely couple. Thanks Peter and Annette for letting me share in your celebration.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our day and can not believe just how lucky we were with the weather.
No hiccups, except when Peter left the Marriage Licence in the taxi.
But he soon sorted that.
It all went very fast and certainly wouldn't have changed any part of it.
The Club was a great venue.
Thank you for your imput."
