Caley a Director and Nathan an Interior Plasterer came together with family and close friends for a simple and beautiful ceremony at The George Hotel.
When I arrived at 11.30 lots of the guests were already assembled. Everyone was nicely relaxed and I got to meet Nathan for the first time.
The wedding was planned by Caley and her sister Kerryn.
The boys were in no hurry to get their nice white shirts on but they did in time for the Bride's arrival.
While the Father of the Bride and I waited for the girls to come down I learnt that there are three girls, all beautiful. A very proud Dad.
I was a little worried when the Bride arrived and said "Julie you will catch me when I faint?" My response was of course but a little worried she thought she might faint.
The weather was playing the part although Nana Pamela who delivered a beautiful prayer for Caley and Nathan and the girls Ruby and Ayva, was feeling the cold. She had told me that her brother as a young person was put in special care because he was so slender.
The show was stolen by two little girls - Ayva (5 years old, Nathan's daughter) and Ruby (3) and Caley's daughter. Ayva had the guests in tears by delivering the most perfect reading.
Everyone was happy and so pleased for Mr and Mrs Briggs.
They had a lovely tribute to those no longer with us.
Note: A guest said do you remember me? Her face was familiar and as it should be as I was her Celebrant I think she said 8 years ago at Ferrymead. Another blog on that wedding soon.
To finish I will share the reading beautiful shared when using the microphone - congratulations to Ayva.

Families are pople
Who care about
you May family is special
Your family is too!
Mothers and fathers,
And sisters and brothers,
Nanas and Grandads,
And so many others!
One family is big,
While another is small,
Some families have children
And some not at all!
When we are together,
Or far far apart
The people I love
Fill the map of my heart.
