Yes I had the absolute pleasure at Noah’s Ark of being the Celebrant for these two lovebirds who are so much in love. I know when you hear a couple read their vows and there are tears in their eyes that there is a very special and deep connection. Of course the guests picked up on the emotion and I noticed a considerable number were wiping away tears as well. I would love to share their vows but what they shared was for each other and the guests and I were privileged to hear them.
So what made this wedding special?
They had chosen Jess from J.Mc Photography and she is a bundle of energy and having worked a number of great weddings with Jess, I am confident the couple will get the photos they want.
The chief bridesmaid was my friend and as I heard her say to someone at the wedding she used to be my PA. Very efficient and organised PA she was. To add to that I was the Celebrant for her and her husband Nigel – ten years ago this year. The twins are now at high school and Harlan a bit of a character as he told me he was not around when they got married. So yes I knew the family.
Although I took umbrellas, I didn’t need them. Although it was misty it was not actually raining. Because everyone went outside for the group photo, they mixed really well. They had a photo booth and other activities downstairs for the guests. We all wrote a message on a heart for the couple’s artwork. Thinking that will look amazing.
Nearly forgot they arrived in really nice cars!
The bride wore a unique wedding dress – wait until you see the photos. So again congratulations, Mr and Mrs Mitchell. I know you will be happy together and have a loving network around you. Thanks for letting me be with you.
Note: The first photo is by J.Mc Photography - the others from my camera.
