When the guests were gathering, I suggested they head into the chapel as there was a light shower coming through. As it approached the time of the ceremony, I went searching for something to dry the chairs. The wedding party, consisting of the couple and four children, finally arrived. Did it matter they were late? Not really. Everyone was in good spirits and the photographer, Steve Selwood and his daughter Alice were happy in their work. And I want to particularly thank the witnesses, Paul and Clare for willingly getting the drinks ready as my request. I find at small weddings when the couple are relaxed you need to give a little bit of direction without coming across bossy.
The photos are stunning Mr Selwood and I love sharing them on my blogs. Not sure if you ever read my blogs. Anyway the compliment is there.
Anyone read any of Paul Cleave's books? One of the family shared with me he is a famous NZ author and it would appear better known outside of NZ than in.
I also found out from another guest that one of my brides, back from Germany to be a bridesmaid at another wedding I performed, is still here for her own book launch. I have some interesting conversations at weddings. This is the details of the launch unitybooks.nz/event/book-launch-murdoch-the-cartoons-of-sharon-murdoch-with-commentary-by-melinda-johnston-wed-19th-october-6pm-in-store-at-unity/
